If we gave people #directcashrelief ($2k/mo.) in a way similar to most advanced countries, our government wouldn’t have needed to sacrifice American lives to “open the economy.” Schools being open is not as important as lives being saved.

And parents could stay home & teach their children.
Please explain why we have countless industries regarded as essential where we have workers being exposed, but when it comes to our most treasured gift, children, teachers are deemed too important to risk? I don’t get it even a little bit.

2000 a month IS NOTHING. Closing down completely will only further kill the middle class. Anyone making under 100k a year will be wiped out everything gone, totally dependant on the government for everything. People simply won't do it.
