If we gave people #directcashrelief ($2k/mo.) in a way similar to most advanced countries, our government wouldn’t have needed to sacrifice American lives to “open the economy.” Schools being open is not as important as lives being saved.

Also, kids should be rewarded. If teachers get paid to teach (repetitive each year), why aren't kids/parents paid to learn(non repetitive and extremely important for the future)? If you spend 10 seconds thinking about the logic, you will quickly come to that simple conclusion.

More people die of the flu every year than will die of COVID, should we close everything until we cure the flu as well? There is no eceonomic scenario where giving people free money works, it destroys every economy where tried. Look at the financial ruin that is Europe now.
