If we gave people #directcashrelief ($2k/mo.) in a way similar to most advanced countries, our government wouldn’t have needed to sacrifice American lives to “open the economy.” Schools being open is not as important as lives being saved.

"Most advanced countries" - You mean democracies - Democracies are the only system of govt ever created that are stabilized by policies that provide for the general welfare of the citizenry. These policies destroy/destabilize authoritarian govts - We are not a democracy anymore

I agree with you in part. Opening restaurants and bars is high risk low reward. But educating our children in small groups (especially young and vulnerable kids) is medium risk high reward. Some risks must be accepted. It's our value system that's fucked up.

It's crazy how much of OUR money the gov pisses away but when its time to help us its socialism I wrote this song about how we're so focused on this deep social divide meanwhile our world burns before our eyes. youtube.com/vHQYRSQeFGo

Financial support for JOE Biden's campaign has no Will for such a sensible solution. Billionaires want to remain as overlords. UBI says, we would rather spend our time and energy creating a world we desire. No attention left over for you.

You sound weak. People die. The strong survive for longer but still die. Your resolve to save lives is utterly against nature. The only recourse is to reproduce rapidly so your bloodline can overcome the odds.

The parents on my wife's school district have put tremendous pressure on the administration and school board to open even though COVID-19 cases are increasing in the county. The board's response may well be to bypass the science. Shame.
