If we gave people #directcashrelief ($2k/mo.) in a way similar to most advanced countries, our government wouldn’t have needed to sacrifice American lives to “open the economy.” Schools being open is not as important as lives being saved.

Schools are being opened because children need to go to school! This has been devastating for children and it is essential that their lives get back to somewhat normal. A leading pediatrician in LA said he has not seen one case of Covid in a child!

A great idea. Congress, the Executive Branch, and The FED give Wall St. trillions in free money... and all that it has produced is stagnation. Provide relief to aggregate demand (The American consumer/labor) and watch the economy flourish & takeoff. - JMH

The economy would have been so much better off. Trump loves to inflict pain as he grows power like a California wildfire. He, like the fires will incinerate our United States of America.

If no one is making anything, It doesn't matter how much money there is. There's nothing to buy. The fatality rate for COVID is about .003%. That isn't worth shutting down the economy to the extent they did, in the first place. Who is dying from open schools?

What countries give people 2000 a month? Please post list. Maybe I’ll move to one of them. I never say no to free money.
