If Biden wins, will there still be a huge amount of work to do to course-correct this country? Absolutely! But it’s work we’ll have the chance to do, whereas in a second Trump term the opportunities for effective activism would be radically diminished. We cannot let that happen.

Effective activism is happening right now, under Trump. Obama wasn't receptive to pressure from the Left and Biden will be even less so. Biden being less-bad than Trump is a solid argument; Biden offering better opportunities for Left activism is pure speculation.

Trump is not particularly authoritarian. Kamala top cop Harris is a censorship radical and wants to silence us on twitter. Joe crime bill Biden wants to lock em all up.

That ‘if’ is doing a lot of work rather unnecessarily.

its the opposite! Activism will diminish under Biden because those who voted for him will pat themselves on the back for a job well done "boogyman is gone hooray" , then go to sleep while Biden continues same or even worse policies.

Lowest enthusiasm for a candidate in modern history. No one believes he's the legitimate candidate. No one believes he's mentally capable or a word that comes out of his mouth. Damn the DNC. They just killed us all. They're Fascists. Vote shame me all you want. #AbolishtheDuopoly

We need to act like adults ... I know lots of people don't like Biden for all kinds of different reasons ... but to vote for a third party candidate or to not vote at all ... is ... in my mind ... to act irresponsibly ...

You say "absolutely" But guess what, most everybody will go back to sleep, just like they did when Obama won. On his first day, Obama picked Timothy Geithner to be in charge of economy. ON HIS FIRST DAY. NO ONE DID ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Where is your protest tweet about Geithner?

And what happens in 4 years after an ineffectual Biden term? My guess is a more competent and therefore more dangerous Trump will run, and then that will be the “most important election of our lifetime”. Wash, rinse, repeat
