1/ While #BLM is the largest protest movement in history of the US, Congress has not responded to it with even one piece of legislation. That’s how unresponsive Congress is to the voices of the people.

2/ That’s why the most powerful direct action at this point (not instead of but in addition to others) is marching to the voting booth. Has the system been corrupted? Yes - but don’t let it be corrupted further by not using it at all. Friends don’t let friends not vote. #Nov3rd

Protesting is good to raise awareness. It becomes effective only when people are inspired to vote at all levels. If we don’t vote out (almost) all incumbents and vote in real progressives, these protest will be forgotten. Remember occupy Wall Street? #VoteThemAllOut

I respect you and your position. But I have a different take. If the largest protest movement in history fails to move congress, how does voting fix anything if what we are offered is more of the same? If they offer nothing and we vote for that, what impetus for change is there?

There are over 300 House bills on Mitch McConnells desk. Don’t blame Congress, blame the Senate!

Union battles in the 1930's, the civil rights movement, and the protests against the Vietnam war during the 1960's weren't exactly small.

Because protests DO NOT WORK when all you do is "protest against" something, while offering no solutions... contrast --> "we don't like that (problem), we want THIS (solution) instead" If people want change, the energy & convos MUST be focused on the better outcome desired 🧞‍♂️

It’s because @Blklivesmatter is a Marxist movement and many of its beliefs are contrary to what most Americans believe.
