2/ Genuine truth tellers - Bernie Sanders etc. – have been consistently sidelined and/or purged from the system, creating a void that genuinely psychotic forces found pretty easy to fill. If a political system provides no place for radical truth telling, it becomes a den of lies.

I think maybe the fact that 6 Oligarchs own all the media outlets and pump out Propaganda 24/7 could have something to do with it. Then Corporate Politicians owned by same Oligarchs confirm it. No Armenian Genocide, Syrian gas attacks, RussiaGate, colluding to stop Bernie, etc.
