People who say “all you need is a change in consciousness” are privileged enough to have food on the table & a roof over their head; people who think all we need is political change underestimate the psychological & emotional forces that are roiling beneath the surface of things

Highest form of intelligence is when one can hold multiple perspectives simultaneously even when very attached to one of them. This would be good to teach in early education. A muscle that sorely needs to be developed.
