“With more than 2,000 dying each day, Americans found themselves members of a failed state, ruled by a dysfunctional and incompetent government largely responsible for death rates that added a tragic coda to America’s claim to supremacy in the world.”rollingstone.com/politics/po…

Blaming the govt, sure, but IMO the real problem is for-profit healthcare. If you run a hospital like a business, you’re gonna have just enough beds for average occupancy, just enough ppe for the average number of doctors operating etc. etc.

Sad thing is that the government you speak of consists solely of 2 political parties & while 1 is definitely very responsible, the other one that should be an opposition is also responsible in many areas as well. This duopoly is killing us. A hungry sick poor mob is an angry mob.

Gosh - the deaths have gone up to over 2000 a day? Awful. We've had 27 in my country and each one was a tragedy, mourned, that the govt sent notification about in a whatsapp bulletin to literally the whole country. Cannot even conceive of 2000+ people being cut down daily.

Over 7500 Americans die every day. You might want to consider “Excess Deaths from Covid-19” for accuracy’s sake.
