Attacking and undermining labor has been a core element of the corporatist strategy over the last 40 years. When I was a kid, my parents told me that crossing a picket line was one of the worst things you could possibly do. Today, people are too often like “Meh.”
Record numbers want to join a union and union favorability is at a multi-decade high. Yet union membership is down to just 10% because gop has aggressively attacked them and Dems have mostly stood by. Workers deserve power!! #solidarity #LaborDay google.com/amp/s/www.pbs.org…

They used to have what were called ... "Union Shops" ... where if you wanted to work for a particular company ... you needed to join the Union ... the Republicans changed that so you could reap the benefits of a Union Shop ... without joining the Union ... weakening all Unions!

There ain’t no picket lines no more. No power in it.

Yes but unions have to stop having people indicted for corruption (UAW), stop attacking #M4A and stop promoting #AB5 and #ProAct that destroy the lives of ICs for no reason. Even Kamala's guy Willie bashes #AB5 and Newsom gave in. Modernize! politico.com/states/californ…

And yet you're telling people to vote for Biden, who will oppress. Less than Trump, but oppress. Tell people to vote for Gloria LaRiva.

For a hard lesson look no further than the UK where unions were both demonised and neutered during the Thatcher years of late 70’s to 1990. Now all we have are weak unions with little collective bargaining power due to strict legislation on strike action and zero hour contracts.

Bc there’s a lot of money in corporate politics in both parties. Dems have no incentive to defy their donors

Unions aren't a democratic base anymore. Dems are the party of intersectional queer studies majors. People who work with their hands are looked down upon by democrats.
