Our authoritarian threat is an opportunistic infection; it couldn’t have taken hold if the body politic wasn’t already weak. A newly aroused sense of citizenship is our immune system, with tens of millions of people investing time & effort in electing a different kind of leader.

I Disagree. The party system needs a cleansing. A “goodness enema” if you will. No more “because this time it is really Important”! 2016’ was a laxative. 2020’ is going to be a full warm water enema. Lot of people walking away. Dems have given it to Trump or #UNITY2020
