Our authoritarian threat is an opportunistic infection; it couldn’t have taken hold if the body politic wasn’t already weak. A newly aroused sense of citizenship is our immune system, with tens of millions of people investing time & effort in electing a different kind of leader.

We’re stuck in a corrupt political system that goes back & forth every 4 to 8 years between rightwing fascism and neoliberal corporate extremism. And that’s not the kind of politics that will ever heal our nation. We have to break this vicious cycle. We have to break the duopoly.

I appreciate the positivity. But from every single angle that we are looking at this election, Trump is literally stealing it. And there doesn’t seem to be anyone doing a thing about it
