Only in a totalitarian society do we all have to agree with each other! No one has a monopoly on truth. We should always be willing to assume maybe someone else knows something that we don’t know, and at the very least isn’t a bad person just because they don’t agree with us.

This. And debate amongst the ranks is healthy, challenging those who share our own ideals breeds growth and strength. At the end of the day our end goals are the same, how we get there is always part of the journey. It’s not the time to embrace pride and rigid thought.

I tend to talk a lot but I’ve learned to be a better listener. I know where I stand on topics but I may not know your views. By listening more, we can have a more equitable dialog.

But I think that, if we ever do change to a culture of caring about each other and trying to understand each other, then we will end up agreeing with each other a lot more.

I absolutely refuse to listen or talk to anyone who think children should be kept in cages and separated from their families. People who support what is happening at the border should be locked up indefinitely. Fascism is an evil we have to obliterate from this world, not coddle.

Information disseminated among the citizens empowers the people to make rational choices. Both of the two people most responsible for opening our eyes as a people are treated as outlaws (Assange & Snowden). Julian Assange's extradition hearing is tomorrow: what would Jesus do?

Truth is the monopoly. Although our perception of it may vary. Truth remains. So maybe our personal truths, sic beliefs, are not absolute. Truth is. 😉. The greatest of these truths is Love conquers all.. Eventually. 😉 1💗 1💜 💜

It’s fascinating u don’t realize that in our “free” society thought is not manipulated.
