Only in a totalitarian society do we all have to agree with each other! No one has a monopoly on truth. We should always be willing to assume maybe someone else knows something that we don’t know, and at the very least isn’t a bad person just because they don’t agree with us.

We have failed to protect against mass propaganda, letting corporations bias the “news”, flood cable channels and the internet with harmful lies. People like limbaugh, hannity, pirro and so many others lie without any fear of being held accountable.

Another list of things we are required to agree on: The flag American exceptionalism Trust in corporations The constitution and the founding fathers The God given right to use as much fossil fuel as we want Society needs a hierarchy Paper money has value Etc.
