It will give us four years to rock this country with some enlightened activism.

The DNC has indicated they don't listen to "enlightened activism" ..on the contrary, they call it violence & mimic the words of the fascist right to soothe their wealthy donors. Centrist voters would fall asleep again, just as they did when Obama squashed Occupy Wall Street.

Nobody needs to tell me what the DNC does to get people out of the conversation LOL. But this isn’t about their moves right now. It’s about our moves. We need to override their power, both within the party and by starting a new one.

We've been put into a terrible situation...I appreciate your hope, but voters have little control of politicians, esp following the Citizens United ruling. All we may have in our favor is mass protest, which Biden is just as likely to shut down. All I have is prayer, Marianne.

Given how many voters have previously chosen not to vote, I think it’s more complicated than that though.

I used to get angry with non-voters, but I understand their apathy... no one is working to make their lives better, it's all political theater with a handful of good actors. But yes, if more Americans questioned leaders and engaged fully, it might be different.
I was a person who chose not to vote for over a decade because Democrats moved to far right for me in the 90's. I fell for Obama's BS. He was a crap neoliberal. Many people do not vote because both parties want voter support without supporting voters in ways that matter.
