Some on the right act as tho America has never done anything wrong & some on the left act as tho America has never done anything right. But they’re both wrong. It’s seeing that our history is a combination of the 2 that gives us the insight needed to fundamentally course-correct.

WW2 was right. Setting up the Banana Republics was wrong. Invading Iraq was wrong. Supporting Zionists is wrong.

It seems so much of our dialogue is made up of hyperbolic if then statements. It misses the nuance of real life

Ok. I'll bite. What has America done right? Note: If your answer has anything to do with Freedom, Liberty, Justice, Democracy, yada, yada, stop before you even get started. America never got any of that right. Did better than some, but fell way short of anything close to right.

I guess I'm "some on the left." The USA has been a plutocracy thinly disguised as a democracy ever since its "founding" in land theft, genocide, and slavery. Indeed, most of the planet has been a plutocracy for 10,000 years. Time for us to find wisdom at last.

It's almost as if Americans are fighting over what the story of America shall be. And refuse to recognize there is NOT one story, there are many, many stories. There is no one story.

Now THIS statement! I believe we should get rid of BOTH major parties. The corruption on BOTH sides is so pervasive & rampant, that we'll never truly "drain the swamp" until both are completely abolished. Democrats & Republicans, YOU'RE FIRED!!!
