Politics isn’t just abstraction or theory. It’s about living, breathing people and how they respond to circumstances. Nothing is prewritten for the future, because people who are complacent will act one way to circumstances and people who are activated will react in another way.

The root meaning of "politics" is the issue of how we govern ourselves or are governed. When people say "Oh, it's just politics" what they mean is "it's partisan politics". There's so much partisan politics it's easy to dismiss all politics as bad. But politics are fundamental.

Obama elected in 2008 -> anti-war movement disappears -> Obama starts more wars and kills and displaces millions more people. Obama bails out rich, 6 mill lose homes, smashes Occupy, 94% new jobs part time or temporary. Media & urban elites: 🥂 THAT IS HOW WE GOT TRUMP!!
