1/ OK so let’s look at that. Occupy was ignored by Obama’s America (tho it still had long lasting effect). As infuriating as that was, in a Trump America something far worse and even tragic would be likely to happen.

2/ Also it’s on us that til Bernie there was no large scale effort to turn the Occupy sentiment into electoral power. Now that that’s happened & been repudiated (tho not everywhere) we have our work cut out moving forward. Helping elect Trump isn’t a power move; it’s surrender.

No doubt that Trump is a danger to Democratic protest and speech. Our experience under Obama/Biden was that they were also hostile to democratic protest, but came across far more benign. Buden needs to be challenged in this, I am not seeing him being held to account.
