No, neoliberalism is not “just as bad.” It is stupid. It is wrong. It is treacherous. It is fucked up. But. it. is. not. fascism.

it's maybe got a fancy hat on, and an expensive degree, but it isn't necessarily nonfascist

Do the names Milton Friedman and Augusto Pinochet mean anything to you, Marianne?

Neoliberalism facilitates the rise of Fascism. It's the logical end point to austerity. So both need to be defeated or it's like sewing up a wound without cleaning it or treating for infection.

Sure, it's not the fascism as portrayed in the annals of early 20th century history, but it's fascism nonetheless. It's corporatism, closely related to fascism, and its underlying foundation is neoliberalism. It's the fuel that allows corporatism to run. No more #CorporateRule.

Neoliberalism enables fascism as a stepping stone to it. We’ve seen it in slow motion for decades. So I’m order to blunt fascism you’ve got to stop the root cause of it!

See this is exactly how neoliberalism enables fascism. So vote for the toxicity or the enabler of that toxicity 🤔

I don't understand all the pushback on this. Seems like such an uncontroversial thing to say. Neoliberalism is like 7/10 bad. Fascism is 9.5/10 bad. As economic systems, they are almost exact opposites! One is hard globalist and the other is hard protectionist.
