Americans fall into the trap that voting is the way to defeat fascism. It's not. We can't vote out ideals and behaviors. Someone worse than Trump will always come along. We need real substantial change and won't achieve that by voting. It'll never be that easy.

During World War II, fascists and Nazis were trying to take over the world and Americans marshaled all our efforts to push them back. Today, Americans are deciding whether or not to give them a second term.

That’s like saying that it takes more than gas to make a car drive since you also need tires and things like that - therefore there’s no reason to put gas in the car 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's not. Nowhere did I say voting was useless or we shouldn't do it. My point is that it isn't the main driver for true change. It's putting a bandaid on a bullet wound.
