You tap into something very important here. Any system that can lead to fascism is broken by design. However incredibly important democracy is, we need a democracy that doesn't require saving from destruction every four years, lest we remain stuck treading water.

Trump has exposed the flaws in the system. The Patriotic adherence to an almost 300 years old flawed document has to stop. Constitutions define the rules to running a country. Countries change them, on averge, every 20 years or so.
