During World War II, fascists and Nazis were trying to take over the world and Americans marshaled all our efforts to push them back. Today, Americans are deciding whether or not to give them a second term.

We didn't really though, FDR went against public sentiment by fighting the Nazis, the majority of Americans in polls were in favor of not interfering with the Nazis

That wasn’t true after Pearl Harbor. At that point Americans supported us getting into the war.

True, but again that was because we were attacked, we didn't particularly care about defeating Fascism or Nazism in their own right. A Gallup poll done in the summer of 1941 showed that 79% of Americans would prefer to prevent war with Germany if possible.

Yes, and then once Pearl Harbor happened the entire country got behind the war effort.

Until fascism attacked them they didn't care. That says a lot mrpe about yanks than about their will to fight fascism.

That isn’t really true either. After Pearl Harbor, the public was on board with fighting Japan, not Germany. The initial US Declaration of War was only against Japan. However, once Germany declared war on us In support of Japan, we were forced to fight Nazis.

“The bombing of PH made the US want to go to war, which means that they wanted to go to war to bring down the Nazis” ...... somethings not adding up
