Some problems have been pushed aside for years and not addressed. Or we get the same song and dance from career politicians and yet we keep asking the same questions to a new president then when a election comes up we do the same things but never achieve anything.

In truth, we here in the USA are a pretty diverse bunch. So there is no single “we,” that I can see. Our economics is more like a morass of conflicting desires. Greed often comes from deep seated fear - fear that tomorrow it might all be gone, so get what you can today.
