In Vietnam, they have ATM like machines on the streets that dispense free rice. A government that decides to take care of its people during a crisis has the means with which to do so; we did it during the Great Depression. Our current government is simply choosing not to.

Yeah I didn’t hit my protein macros like I should in August 🐻🐻🐻 so grateful for my food stamps tho 🙌 I would be so much worse off if it weren’t from the government help this year. I’ve seen more help this year than the last 11 combined...

Our local churches have given food to hungry kids since before the pandemic. During school they get backpacks of food in their locker church members pack. You can't wait for bureaucracy in an emergency.
