MLK talked about “a coalition of conscience.” We can’t move forward if everything is an oppositional conversation. Allies aren’t necessarily people we agree with about everything. Defeating Trump isn’t Dem vs. Repub, left vs. right. It’s people of goodwill vs. a fascist threat.

There is no “other side” to fascism except complete surrender to forces of totalitarianism. You can’t have an honorable debate with fascism.

Walk down the street with a Biden hat and then try a Trump hat. Tell me which side is the fascist one.

This is what the left does with its name-calling and censoring #projection

@marwilliamson 2/ If you disagree w/ his methods, it's perfectly legitimate to work to defeat him, but imo "fascist" is inaccurate and of the same divisive ilk as "nazi, racist, snowflake" and the other popular social media hate monikers of the day.

@marwilliamson The deeper your dislike for your brother, the easier it is to justify harsh labels to ostensibly "limit miscreation." What if he doesn't lack good will, but only differs on methods and you're projecting the lack?

3/ I disagree w/ "light vs darkness" thing you're pitching. Seems to me a matter of disagreement on methodology, not difference of heart or good/ill will. Seems like Jesus made it clear light is forgiveness and the vision of your sinless brother, and darkness is lack thereof.

There is in fact a valid debate to be had about whether what we are seeing is actual 'facism' and not just political hyperbole.
