MLK talked about “a coalition of conscience.” We can’t move forward if everything is an oppositional conversation. Allies aren’t necessarily people we agree with about everything. Defeating Trump isn’t Dem vs. Repub, left vs. right. It’s people of goodwill vs. a fascist threat.

I don’t blindly believe anything. And it’s not just about the militarization of police, it’s about the use of police forces. I do not believe Biden would be sending in federal troops to attack the citizens of the United States...and I believe Trump would. He’s clearly itching to.

You believe Biden and Trump represent equally pernicious views; I do not. And in a Biden administration I will still have the chance to express my views; in a Trump second term, those chances will be limited for many of us
