Should it not be a prerequisite for the presidency that the person be a decent human being?

Tell that to the DNC. We could have had Bernie who is a decent person. Instead we have this insane game show between the 2 alphas of the nursing home dementia ward. This is really pathetic!!

I think this is naive. Where I would say a President should be compassionate and want to help the poor, and work from the bottom up. A conservative would say a decent human being wouldn't take my tax money and give it to lazy people. If you make this a requirement, then...

Yes, but the definition of “decent” is subjective. For example, I constantly here it said that “Joe Biden is a decent man”. But my definition of decency does not include segregationism, wanting others to die of treatable diseases to save money or fondling little girls.

I mean, that would exclude every single president to this point. But at the same time, what would the standard for decency be?

#Trump2020 NOT! It was so indecent of Trump to give millions of our tax dollars to WI to BUY votes, after the WI Kenosha police shot a man 7 times on the back! :( "His Son was Killed by Kenosha Police 15 Years Ago, But He’s Still Fighting for Justice" youtube.com/watch?v=JnvFzRQE…
