Should it not be a prerequisite for the presidency that the person be a decent human being?

Lol, that’s pretty much never happened. Maybe Carter. The role itself turns the one holding the office into a monster in practice, and always has.

Yes. And that immediately rules out the person who locked me, and so many others, into unresolvable student loan debt. Who made it possible to lock up so many people for 'drug' offenses. Who voted to kill and displace so many Iraqis.

Then Biden absolutely doesn't belong. It really takes a high level of privilege to not be aware of that.

Being a decent person wouldn't matter. The role of the presidency would change them out of necessity. I'm sure Obama was a great guy who cared about us common folk at one point. Now he actively destroys social movements in order to continue disastrous neoliberal policies.

We had the chance to have Sanders. Hopefully better luck in 4 years.

As Tony Robbins stated, the character of a leader is reflected in the character of the organisation they lead. Trump's ignorant response to C19 has resulted in the deaths of thousands of Americans as a result.

This would disqualify every president in my lifetime and certainly the 2 major party tickets. I guess we can count on you voting for @Jorgensen4POTUS. #JoJorgenson2020 #LetHerSpeak
