The root of our problems lie in the perversion of our values, not so much as individuals but as a nation. We allowed ourselves collectively to be drawn into an idolatrous web of putting money before people and it’s on the level of that realization that the healing will begin.

Capitalism is designed to keep people where they are and to keep them from even having the strength or the mind to consider change. It make us “slaves to the machine.” And it’s a system that our leaders have universally profited from. Why would they ever want to change it?

"The root of our problems lie in the perversion of our values..." ACIM states that the root of our problems, which are really only one problem, comes from a commitment to separation, according to its understanding: acim.org/workbook/lesson-79/
