“About 750,000 public schoolchildren in NYC are poor, roughly 200,000 have disabilities, & 114,000 are homeless.” We act as though this is normal, a tragic fact that there’s nothing we can do to fix. Meanwhile, the NYC police police budget is $11 Billion. nytimes.com/2020/09/01/nyreg…

Thats because NYPD is the buffer for billionaire row. If the masses were to become unruly who else will protect the socialites and the trust fund babies?

Not his is WRONG system. Katarina 🇸🇪 🌞 🌟
Your NYPD budget # is way off...more like $6B. Until housing is a human right, we are stuck. NYC transports disabled students w/o incident year after year.

Policies adopted for decades of Dem led BOE misusing funds to help said children, but sadly Dem Mayor&Govs have never put education nor public housing on priority list. Police make differences in most vulnerable childrens lives, but DeBlasio wont acknowledge.

Can't there be great policing and top notch education? Someone in the state has to understand that education is the key that opens the door to opportunities, keeping children from crime and dependence

Seems the $11billion is not enough. I got pinned down twice, threatened to be killed in Midtown during daytime. A woman got raped on a subway platform, they got the rapist and set him free. We need new leadership.

CDC reports, 10,000 people or less died from actual covid-19.
