I love Marianne Williamson. But the Biden simping is reeking of privilege. Which is incredibly surprising considering how good she is on issues like reparations. She’s purposely getting this wrong because a binary choice is more easier to process here than a principled one.

And as far as “reeking of privilege” goes, this is clear to me: if Trump is re-elected, I think it’s unlikely that I will be rounded up and thrown in jail - and precisely for that reason. It is in fact those far less privileged than me that I’m worried about.

That’s one side of the privilege coin. Because if Biden is president, there is no guarantee at all I won’t be rounded up and thrown in jail as he wants to give police departments, which are effectively security guards of fascism, 300 million more and no accountability.

I’ve personally felt effects of the 94 crime bill. A bill that Biden won’t even apologize for, knowing what it’s done. There’s open market slavery in Libya because of his administration. His admin created the cages kids are being put in. I will not vote for my own demise.

I understand. Everybody’s going to have to vote their own heart’s truth.

I just don't understand fighting so hard for BLM and social justice to just turn around and vote for Joe Biden. You know his past and what he wants for the future. You can help push for a 3rd party and open the doors for other in the future.

I don’t think any of the other work is possible until we get Trump out of the White House.

And if you’re ever inclined to, I’d love to talk to you about this in a less contentious environment. Because I do believe it’s important for likeminded well meaning people should be looking beyond this election, regardless of where we may vote at the top of the ticket.

Btw, I have an immense amount of respect for you. My disagreements with you basically stop at Biden and some foreign policy. But I’ve never questioned where your heart is. So pls don’t take it personal. But as a journalist and a black man, I can’t let ANY fascism go unchecked.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I didn’t feel disrespected, I just felt disagreed with and we need to be able to do with each other. And I’ll be glad to talk to you about it in a different environment. Just let me know.

There's no way Biden is your heart's truth. I can not accept that. But I get it. I mean, I want to tear out my hair sometimes because Biden just won't give me ANYTHING to vote for & everyone tells me I have to anyway. But I've been doing that for decades. I just can't anymore.
