A lot of people talk about how Biden needs to “earn my vote.” Of course he didn’t “earn your vote.” But I think this is less about what he owes us & more about what we owe millions of people in this country & billions throughout the world who will be affected by a 2nd Trump term.

Actually, it doesn’t. We all know what happened here. So this isn’t about Biden earning our vote; it’s about stopping Trump from being president again. In my mind, breaking democracy’s free fall descent into the pit of fascism is reason enough.

Please tell me one way that Biden will stop our fall in to fascism. Please, just one way. We’re desperate out here and he told us that nothing will fundamentally change. Trump is dangerous, but Biden is also a death sentence for us. Just give us something. One reason. Anything.

Sorry Marianne, I disagree. Voting for candidates who are only slightly to the left of the current person in power is a sign that lesser evilism works. If there's no incentive to move left, why move left? Biden needs to offer *something*, *anything* to people.

Immediate future asks for Trump's leadership to end. But asking Biden to be appealing to progressives is not just about next term. Letting Biden be Biden will only make 2024 be exactly the same. Despite how unreal it seems, Trump is not the worst the republicans can nominate.
