You are totally right - and Joe Biden is a good and decent man. Some of the replies on this thread are wacky.

trump's demagoguery will only escalate. His base knows and condones it. For many like me it will be the only reason we vote for biden/harris.

Really think we’d be much better of not defending Biden, and trying to get the rest of Congress kicked out since that’s supposed to be the Check on the powers the president exercises

I understand the reasoning but they should have thought about that before they screwed us over multiple times, told us not to vote for them, failed to compromise on policy, failed to nominate a VP that compromises with the left, and talked down to young voters. Very hard sell..
