All the pain this year, and the willingness to empathize with those whose pain is so much more than ours, is genuinely changing us. We were never going to be able to change the world until we were genuinely changed ourselves. This might do it.

Not to ignore the work on the ground. But there is something about aiming at this level that is soothing and unifying. More of these for a few moments please. We are fighting, but we are also grieving. Thank you.
