Almost everyone right now would be well served reading a basic book about American history. Knowing our historical landscape gives us two gifts: 1/ we’ve been through very, very, very tough times before, and 2/ our pattern over time has always been to self-correct. We will again.

From far away, I don't see how people who should self-correct have been through tough times. It has always been others who suffered. Those who should change don't even acknowledge that they are wrong. Its hard to watch the US from Europe.
