So you're saying that cynicism ... is a defense ... hiding a real wish ... for ... Love!

Don't forget the Republican party has spent decades indoctrinating us to their "truth". Deep down these believers know they missed the signs & that they have been betrayed; they believe  they would might have made better choices. Feels like lifetimes wasted. So they deny.

Once someone whispered in my ear, “Cynics are God’s greatest warriors,” which spoke deeply to me at the time and I carried it in my heart ever since. But now, I will say, “Cynics are God’s greatest warriors that truly want to believe.” Thanks, Maryanne.

Oxford gives two definitions of the word ‘cynical.’ One being the belief that others are motivated by self-interests; the other being an individual that is highly self-interested and self-motivated at all costs. Somehow this term wholly encompasses the crux of American politics.

That “Prove it to me” or needing to see something before believing it is a trap most souls get caught up in. Been there and taught to see be and do that. On the other side there’s Freedom. Find your way there and prove it to yourself ❤️ Hope this helps! #everydreammatters
