Today 100 years ago is the day the adoption of the 19th Amendment was certified by the U.S. Secretary of State. In celebration and acknowledgement, may every woman use this occasion to use our voices more powerfully to help create the world we want.

Something to keep in mind - the 19th Amendment was when WHITE women achieved the right to vote. I finally realize how hurtful it might be to women of color and indigenous origin to cite the 19th amendment as THE moment in US history for women's voting rights.
