The problem is not that a bunch of corporate CEOs sit around thinking about ways to hurt people or planet, because they don’t; the problem is that they don’t think it’s their job to have to think about it one way or the other. That’s how an amoral system produces immoral results.

I disagree. At some point places like Wal-Mart/Amazon realized they wouldn't need to pay for employee health care if workers never reached full time hourly status. Company/nationwide whole segments of workers were staffed to work 32 or less hours a week. Very hurtful actions.

No disagreement there at all. Sort of my point. The false god of short term stockholder value as opposed to consideration for all stakeholders involved: workers, environment, country.
