What Republicans and some Democrats call “far left” refers to policies (free healthcare, etc) that in most European countries are considered mainstream and moderate. In those countries, our slavish devotion to trickle down economics is what would be considered extreme.

Extreme and irrational. We’ve tested trickle down for 40 years. It doesn’t work. We have the proof. Time to move on.

"Far left" is Socialism. Workers prioritized over profit.

To emphasize and add on, @marwilliamson, in those countries, our slavish devotion to trickle down economics IS considered extreme. Let's not let nationalism and ethnocentrism foolishly guide us any further down the wrong path.

Capitalism wins when healthcare is seen as an individual healthcare issue instead of a public health issue. Capitalism wins by isolating the individual from the community instead of empowering the community. Capitalism is inherently anti-democratic.

You’re a horrendous virtue signaling asshole, a race baiter and overall a fake hypocritical bipolar person pretending to be enlightened, Marianne. There’s nothing moderate about you. You’re demonic. A typical immoral politician.

The Republicans and Democrats are middle management who bring the bad news down from the higher ups in corporate. Two factions of the ruling class run this government and one thing they agree on is no ‘free’ health insurance. They’d rather it be tied to a job.
