Biden should appoint a Presidential Commission on Recreating Law Enforcement. It should consist not just of “police experts” but of regular citizens, sociologists & social workers. And it should be actionable. We have to start thinking this way; we can’t just “reform” what is.

But we have to have a conversation about process, not just goals. I know most Presidential Commissions are just put on the shelf and ultimately mean nothing. But that’s why I said “it must be actionable.”

To me, “reform” and “re-creating” are very different. But tell me the language you think we should be using that at this point will move the needle forward.

At this point it is. Plenty of time to criticize Biden AFTER we restore democracy.

How are the two different? We're starting from people who have billions to their name next to people who have next to nothing and then actually nothing if they get sick.

It should not include police experts. The goal shouldn’t be to recreate law enforcement. Yes to everything else.
