If we can land a man on the moon, we should be able to re-create policing in the United States so as not to be so dangerous to our citizens. It’s one of many areas where it will not be technical expertise but rather imagination, ethics and vision that guide us to a better future.

This country views illness as a business windfall, all those symptoms you can sell treatments for at great profit, why the rush to find a cure? That’s how everything is seen. Once marketers & litigation attorneys shaped our culture, a functioning society became an afterthought.

They aren’t parents. They’re police.

We need to recreate “citizening”. As in, how to act like a proper citizen when detained by the police so you don’t accidentally “suicide by cop” yourself.

A well thought out, coherent thought that isn’t coming from a regressive, hateful and ignorant place! Tf going on?!?

You won't be able to do this because the US is purely a militarized police-state empire. The veneer of democratic republic has been steadily eroded to the point where it's no longer possible to conceal its true nature. The situation will only increase in intensity until dissolution
If the police are likely to execute you if they feel like it - the system needs to change.

Deunionize them. The unions cover for a lot of bad cops. They shouldn't be investigating themselves.
