There’s something inherently & fundamentally flawed about our system of policing in the United States. Police are not being trained to “keep the peace,” but to act as though they’re practically an occupying army. The system should be demolished and replaced.

Incorrect. Radical leftists are endangering our cities (and police). They are a bigger problem. We can weed out the bad cops but most are doing the best they can in a very difficult job

I do think most of them are doing the best they can in a difficult situation, but “radical leftists” are not “endangering our cities.”

The issue is guns. The rest of the world can have a civil police force because the people they're arresting almost certainly don't have a gun within reach. Their actions are perfectly understandable given the circumstances, any hesitation could be their own death, or civilians.

This is an absolutely ridiculous take on the situation.

The issue is not that police are not being trained properly. The issue is that police is and has always been a racist, white supremacist institution whose role is to maintain "order" as narrowly-defined by the U.S. despotic (and sadistic) ruling class.

Imagine if we had peace officers who could come & talk people through domestic disputes or personal crises. And if a person could stop into the peace station for support through a tough time.
