I don’t see it the same way. For too long America has been able to look away from such things. There are many times in history where a change has occurred only when enough people actually saw something and felt something. No one can see that video and not see it and feel it.

That’s the thing though. We shouldn’t be putting Black people through even more trauma just so that we can show white people their humanity. If they’re not going to feel it without a video, at this point, that’s on them. The movement goes on.

The more of them that get it though, the quicker the movement reaches critical mass.

How many white ppl have you watched die? Now ask yourself why you’re fine deciding for us that the countless Black people we’ve watched die - in the past 6 months alone - aren’t enough? Why you’re fine deciding how much trauma we put up with for white ppl who don’t care?

You don’t get this, and you need to stand down. You’re giving us platitudes which will protect exactly zero Black people from being executed by the police.

I understand that, but at whose cost :/ it’s tough and icky

It's been over 400 years.

M’aam white people know what’s going on without needing to re-traumatize Black folks in the process.

Is that a white woman dictating how black trauma should be handled?

That's naive. People saw the George Floyd video and are STILL justifying his death. Our deaths don't need to be shoved in y'all's faces for educational purposes, because at this point, if you don't get it, you never will.

It’s racist for you to think you know better than Black people what’s best for us... like what’s not clicking

I’m a Black Women. -I- don’t need to “get” it ANY more than I already do. ✋🏾
