I don’t see it the same way. For too long America has been able to look away from such things. There are many times in history where a change has occurred only when enough people actually saw something and felt something. No one can see that video and not see it and feel it.

That’s the thing though. We shouldn’t be putting Black people through even more trauma just so that we can show white people their humanity. If they’re not going to feel it without a video, at this point, that’s on them. The movement goes on.

The more of them that get it though, the quicker the movement reaches critical mass.

So for white people to get racism exist, Black must die and other Black people must be tortured by the visual reminder of that death over and over? Would you say videos of rapes should be reposted over and over so men can see rape is wrong? What is wrong with you?

This is why postcards of lynchings ended ... no. It's why footage of people being beaten by police and mauled by dogs... oh wait.

Marianne, respectfully, if people don't get it after seeing dozens of these videos, they're not about to miraculously get it just because of video #49. We need to find a better way of reaching fellow white people than forcing Black people to retraumatize themselves over and over.

This is not true. At all. If it were, y’all wouldn’t be voting in a prosecutor and crime bill writer to the White House.

But Black people roght here in front of you and me are telling us to listen to them. They are telling you and me that the spectacle of the murder of Black people is harmful. Listen please.
Why don't you try listening?

We need to listen. Stop talking. Follow instructions. If you think you should chime in the only acceptable response is “I’m so sorry how can I be an ally.”

Y’all want everything at our expense. We’re saying no, this causes us pain and harm. Learn and teach a different way that isn’t at our expense.

White "allies", LISTEN to Black folks. I'm 26 and I've seen tens of videos of unarmed Black folks being gunned down by the police in recent years. So have my white peers. That hasn't made white folks mobilize more, it's just traumatized Black folks further. THAT'S NOT HELP.

This is just not true... or would you like to tell us the exact benchmark for how many numbers white people will need before they will “get it” and choose to take action? Because clearly the several dozens aren’t enough? Do you need a compilation film? A network dedicated to it??
