I don’t see it the same way. For too long America has been able to look away from such things. There are many times in history where a change has occurred only when enough people actually saw something and felt something. No one can see that video and not see it and feel it.

You're white, & this is NOT your call. But here's a freebie: Do you understand the difference between 1964, images in weeklies & once-nightly news, & NOW, with this image repeated 1000X a day on all platforms? If you can't parse that, you're not qualified to talk about it.

Retraumatizing people and spreading snuff films as far as you can is not helpful, madame.

You mean WHITE America. Black America has never looked away and our further traumatization won't help our fight.

Maybe we should try and believe Black people that it's really this bad without re-traumtizing media. No one needs to see footage of their family members being killed go viral. Listening should be going viral. Fixing the problem should be going viral.

Unfortunately, the videos are not propaganda. They aren't political ads or commercials. They are moving images of *REAL BLACK PEOPLE* being killed by police. White people's desire to consume that as evidence of racism is anti-Black. Just believe us.

You don't get to talk over Black women like this when it comes to this subject. What is wrong with you

I'm old enough to have seen Rodney King get beat, and felt that. Watching the MANY others that have been dealt with by police only goes to retraumatize and just trust police- even the well-meaning ones- a lot less to do what we expect them to do.

Is this white lady saying she needs to see more Black Death so she and her compatriots will finally start caring about Black deaths? Is that what she’s saying?

Black people do not need to see that to "feel it". We live it every day. That's why we don't need to watch it and should not share it. It's repeat trauma. Period.
