So when millions of us have seen with our own eyes the execution of unarmed black men, can someone explain how any policeman still feels permitted to do dastardly deeds like what was done to Jacob Blake tonight? (And don’t dare anyone say that we don’t have all the facts yet)

Qualified immunity needs to end. I feel the public has been awakened to a world most of us didn’t know existed. Now we know the ranks are full of racist bullies that thrive on the power they have over the public. Time to defund.

For whom do the police work? The mayor? The governor? Citizens? They've gotten far too autonomous, their unions too powerful. Why? IMO, because the decades of clearly racist, excessively violent behaviors towards Black people speaks to dark souls of so many, eh, "Americans".

I believe only experienced, specially trained, psychologically tested officers should be allowed as “armed police” units. The rank and file cop shouldn’t be armed. If they’re that afraid of criminals, find another job.

1 out of 5 police officers are ex military. Many returned from wars angry, afraid, damaged, trigger happy, unable to cope & w/serious anxiety disorders. These vets need PTSD treatment. Instead they are hired to be gun carrying bullies in our communities, FGS.
