So when millions of us have seen with our own eyes the execution of unarmed black men, can someone explain how any policeman still feels permitted to do dastardly deeds like what was done to Jacob Blake tonight? (And don’t dare anyone say that we don’t have all the facts yet)

They know they still have broad support - and the majority of the time, face no consequences. The cop who was the shooter in this last attempted murder, just got off a suspension for another shooting

Their bosses and peers and training literally tell them its okay. That's where they feel they have permission.

There’s one place a sociopath, that wants to sociopath freely, can go to get paid to sociopath freely: any police department in the US.

Millions of us also watch them get away with it more often than not. I’d imagine that’s why.

They've been getting away with it for decades.Centuries.They are used to being 100% protected (all they need is 1 fellow fre*m@son on the jury). They're furious about unidentified witnesses with phone cameras. (If they can ID a witness, they can hack the phone & "disappear" video)

police who attacked Elijah McClain are still working. police who shot Breonna Taylor are still working. consequences are too rare for them to care.

There is no accountability. A badge is a license to commit murder, and every single officer knows this. That's why Chauvin was fine with standing on man's neck for nine minutes, and it's why this is going to happen over and over until we make them accountable.

It’s because they know that there’s very little will amongst the government or the judiciary to do much about it. They know that in all likelihood the courts will let them walk, they’ll get to keep their job or at least keep being a cop and their budgets will still increase.

years of being protected by union, assuming police are always justified when shooting civilians & that they tell the truth, it’s white supremacy in some cuz they think “how dare a black person not obey my commands” so they abuse their power & shoot at will. 👮‍♀️ killing continues.

Marianne - respectfully (because I am a fan) - how can you say a statement about ANYTHING like that? Are you a fan of getting all the facts before making a decision about something, or do you just make decisions ONLY based on emotions? No one has all the facts on this yet.
