So when millions of us have seen with our own eyes the execution of unarmed black men, can someone explain how any policeman still feels permitted to do dastardly deeds like what was done to Jacob Blake tonight? (And don’t dare anyone say that we don’t have all the facts yet)

When you have the example of a president that blatantly, breaks, all the norms, values, ethics this country was founded, those without moral values are encouraged to act on their lower instincts, and instant gratification . Our democracy requires self- control and ethics.

OK.... I’ll say it differently. All the facts haven’t been disclosed yet, so we have no way of knowing if the police were justified in using lethal force. We do know that it’s always a very sad situation when the result of any altercation is a loss of life.

I cannot believe that two grown adult police officers can’t each grab one arm of someone they want to take into custody? Every other country can do it without shooting suspects? What’s wrong with their arms?

One idea that may change how police do their job might be to require them to carry malpractice insurance at their own expense this way they are sued personally and the burden isn’t placed on the town they work for. Might make them think twice before using unnecessary force.

Black Compliance Matters! Another situation of non-compliance resulting in tragedy. Who will say something about this??

Why are police even allowed to have guns? They don't carry guns in U.K.and multiple other countries?

Qualified Immunity must have limitations and their must be accountability. Cops still feel immune from justice because there are too many people who appreciate what they are doing. We are still living in a racist country.

This was a domestic. If he had got in that car and mowed down the entire group of people there, or pulled a gun out and shot them, would you not blame the police then too for failing to protect? It’s tragic, and depressing, but these are things that need consideration.

Get rid of the Police ... you can hire two social workers for the cost of each policeman ... you would save money as well as lives!
