No side of the political spectrum has a monopoly on truth, moral values or on how much or how well they love their children. Both are blinded by any thought that they do. We’ve got to reclaim a golden mean in politics where reasonable people of goodwill simply disagree sometimes.

Reasonable statement. Unfortunately we live in a time where reason is considered "oppressive" and the establishment's hold on many of the American people is too strong. It's no longer left vs right, it's the corrupt establishment vs freedom and liberty

The Golden Mean between shitty and shittier is shit. Neither side is morally pure (hardly moral at all) but we can certainly say that the moral truth isn’t to be found in a “Golden mean” between the political spectrum
