my mother’s job ruined my life to begin with. heartbreaking that she continues to go down that path after years of watching her children suffer. selfish. it’s all about money and fame, ladies and gentlemen.

I have been a supporter of yours for years, Marianne, but I do not agree with you on this one. Love is absolutely worth protecting, but what if your parent is, say, a member of the Nazi party? Or the Golden State Killer? They have children, too. Claudia deserves better.

Claudia's mother is not only enabling , but championing a criminal. I applaud Claudia for standing up and speaking out. It's safe to say she will not live with her mother all her life, but all her life she will live with knowing whether or not she has been true to her values.

My mom is still my mom too. After a childhood of physical, verbal & emotional abuse I still tried desperately to think she could change & be better. She ended up stealing over $50,000 from me & opened credit cards in my name & SS#. Some people can’t change & should be cut off.

Parents can be abusive and pieces of sh*t toward their kids. The whole "it is your family" is a way to gaslight folks into forgive and accept everything, even abuse. And that's toxic as f*ck. Family can hurt you and sharing blood is not enough to tolerate abuse, hate, etc.

U don't know what you are talking about. I am 51yo. I have been out of the closet for 33 yrs and my mother still thinks gay people are going to hell. Just b/c someone is a member of your family doesn't mean you have to put up with their bs. At some point you have to cut them off.
